Course Description

The 1st Formative Assessment in the SGH Postgraduate Pediatric Training Program is designed to provide an early evaluation of residents’ performance during their clinical training. The assessment focuses on key pediatric competencies, including case analysis, clinical judgment, communication, and ethical practice.

Residents will undergo structured written and/or practical assessments simulating real clinical scenarios. The goal is to identify strengths, address learning gaps, and offer constructive feedback that guides residents toward achieving the required standards for the Saudi Pediatric Board Examination.

This formative evaluation is not a pass/fail exam but a developmental tool to monitor individual and group progress, ensuring consistent improvement and readiness for subsequent summative assessments.
