Description

This comprehensive hands-on workshop is designed to build a strong foundation in basic surgical skills for aspiring surgeons, medical students, and healthcare professionals. Through a combination of interactive lectures, guided demonstrations, and practical training sessions, participants will gain confidence and competence in essential techniques required in the operating room.

The course covers critical topics such as scrubbing, gowning, and gloving; patient positioning and ergonomics; proper skin preparation and draping; understanding surgical instruments; and mastering principles of diathermy. Participants will also learn key concepts in suturing, knot tying, incision types, and the fundamentals of anastomosis.

In addition to theoretical instruction, the workshop emphasizes hands-on practice to ensure participants develop precise, safe, and effective surgical techniques. By the end of the course, trainees will be better prepared for clinical training and able to apply foundational surgical skills with greater accuracy and confidence.
