Course Description

This examination for Adult Critical Care residents provides an extensive set of multiple-choice questions covering key neurocritical care and ICU topics. Areas include ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, intracranial pressure management, subarachnoid hemorrhage, cerebral vasospasm, and postoperative spinal cord ischemia. It also evaluates knowledge of seizure management, status epilepticus, nonconvulsive status, brain death determination, and traumatic brain injury

Residents will apply evidence-based reasoning to real-world ICU scenarios involving osmotherapy, hypertonic saline, mechanical ventilation in neurological injury, and procedures such as lumbar puncture and EEG monitoring. The exam aims to strengthen diagnostic accuracy, clinical judgment, and decision-making in managing critically ill neurological and general ICU patients
